 2 cups All-purpose flour
 1.50 tsp baking powder
 6 tbsp butter
 0.33 cup shortening
 0.75 cup sugar
 1 egg
 1 tbsp milk
 1 tsp vanilla

Stir together flour, baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.

Beat butter and shortening for 30 seconds; add sugar and beat till fluffy.

Add egg, milk, and vanilla; beat well. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating till well combined.

Cover and chill at least 3 hours. Begin preheating oven to 375 degrees. Working with 1/2 of the dough at a time, on a lightly floured surface roll to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes.

Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8 minutes for till done. Makes 36 to 48.
